- 285 17th Street, Oakland
Buddhism came to the U.S. and is primarily practiced by Asians and Asian Americans. Yet those of us with Buddhism in our heritage have been harmed by appropriation, doubly invisibilized by mainstream society and convert dharma centers, including multicultural sanghas. Join us as we acknowledge and explore our individual and collective experiences in an effort to heal from internalized oppression, pain, rage, and grief. We will come together to share stories, mirror each other, and provide support as we hold and transform our suffering. The daylong is open to self-identified Asians, Asian Americans, and Pacific islanders, including multi-heritage people.
